Sunsets over Newlyn and Penzance promenade on a February high tide. About 20 minutes before I took this photo there was a couple swimming off here - only one of them was wearing a wetsuit!
These rocks are known as Battery Rocks and to the right, out of view, is the Jubilee swimming pool.
I believe the rocks get their name from there having been a gun emplacement here at some point in history. Now-a-days its just a quiet spot to take in a sunset, or go for a dip if you are so inclined...
