Autumn sunset over St Michael's Mount, one of Cornwall's most iconic landmarks. Located just off the village of Marazion, the whole area is named after it - Mount's Bay.
Whilst I'm no expert on the astronomical calendar I don't think the sun lines up like this more than a few times a year. I have tried to get a few sunset shots of the Mount in the past, with little success. This time I was just driving past and practically screeched to a stop when I saw the sun twinkling behind the castle.
