Mousehole was once described as "the loveliest village in England" by poet Dylan Thomas, and it isn't difficult to see why. This picture-postcard Cornish village is located just a couple of miles from Penzance and the beautiful little harbour remains much as it was back in its fishing heyday.
To catch Mousehole at its very best I headed over early on a Spring morning towards high tide. As expected the harbour-front cottages where lit up with golden sunlight and the only sounds were the sea lapping the sand accompanied by the cry of the gulls.
