This is Harbour Cove beach on the banks of the Camel estuary just outside Padstow. This expanse of golden sand becomes even more expansive at low tide when it joins up with Hawker's Cove to one side and St George's Cove at the other. Also know as Tregirls beach on account of the nearby farm, this is where the notorious Doom Bar is located. The spit of sand on which many a ship has come to grief extends from the northeast point of the beach.
