It is quite appropriate that Fowey Museum is housed in one of the town's oldest buildings, the old Borough Council chamber.
Inside there is only one room to present the history of this ancient settlement. It does manage to do this with references to Fowey's maritime heritage, the China clay industry and several objects that are less obviously connected including the cloak of Italian military leader, General Garibaldi.
