One of Cornwall's premier theme parks, Camel Creek Adventure Park is located close to the attractive town of Wadebridge, which sits on the Camel River approximately five miles from the fish restaurants of Padstow.
Opened since 1989, the park covers more than 110 acres with rides aimed at younger children up to the age of six. A total of almost 30 different rides include the slides of Raging River, The Morgawr family-friendly rollercoaster, and the swinging pirate ship of Viking Warrior.
Rides are divided into several zones, including Swampy and Dina Land. Named after the park's mascots, this has been specially designed for the youngest of visitors. Other areas include Kiddie's Kingdom and Thunder Canyon, which has the biggest rides.
What's more, you'll also find a series of indoor play areas to explore, should the Cornish weather take a turn for the worse. There are also various animal-based activities at Pets Corner, Meerkat Magic and Crocodile Corner Reptile House, meaning children will learn about the natural world without even realising it.
Open year round, tickets for adults and children over 105 cm cost around £18, although family tickets are for sale from £48 (2021 prices).
