West Looe and Island

Looking out over the Looe River towards West Looe and Looe Island beyond.

The island is about a mile off Hannafore Point and is now a nature reserve. It was previously owned by the Atkin sisters who lived there until they died.

In the foreground of the photo you can see the end of Looe's famous Banjo Pier with its characteristic round pier end.
