The well known view over St Ives Harbour from the Malakoff bus station. This is a view I have photographed on a number of occasions, usually with one of my expensive SLR cameras at the crack of dawn. However, this particular day I was out for a ride on my bike and decided to stop here and admire the view whilst munching a banana. The only camera I had was on my not particularly new phone. I held this up over my head to get a better vantage point and pressed the button just the once.
The resulting photo is probably my best shot of the harbour from the Malakoff. It probably helps that it was such a stunning day and the tide was this low. It is also a little disheartening to know you can get a better photo from your phone than a high end Canon SLR...
