Looking down towards Porthmeor beach in St Ives from the coast path near Clodgy Point. In the distance is Hayle Towans beach and the point in the foreground is Man's Head.

From this view it is easy to see the low lying nature of St Ives' old town (the Down-a-long) which sits on the sandy isthmus between the Island and the Up-a-long.
