This structure has puzzled me for years. The concreted up facade of a tiny house built into the cliffs at Porthcurno beach. As far as I can remember it has always been cemented up like this and I wondered if it was purely decorative. I guessed it was something to do with the Minack Theatre, and if not it must have been Cable and Wireless related.
Now, after a bit of research I can confirm it is in fact the work of Minack creator Rowena Cade. Apparently she built it as a play house for her nieces and nephews. I have also seen photos from the 1950s of the house in use, with windows and a door. Seems a shame that it is now unusable...
