Gimble Porth - Tresco, North End

The view from Tregarthen Hill towards the little beach at Gimble Porth. This part of Tresco is known as North End for obvious reasons, but it is quite different to the rest of the island.

Featuring a series of craggy hills with weathered granite poking through the heather and gorse this area has a feel of the moors in West Cornwall. It's pretty quiet up this end too as most visitors to the island gravitate towards the Abben Gardens at the other end.

Despite its look and feel of remoteness there is a nice little upmarket cafe just over the far headland.
