View of the entrance to Bostcastle harbour on the North Cornish coast. The natural inlet has been carved over the millennia by the river Valencey and meets the sea between the imposing headlands of Penally Point and Willapark. You can see the outer harbour wall in the foreground, the main harbour is a little further down the inlet. One of only a few havens for shipping along this stretch of coast the entry to port in stormy weather must have been terrifying.
