Swimming pools & sports facilities
Most of Cornwall's main towns are home to at least one leisure centre with a swimming pool and fitness facilities. In addition the majority are relatively modern, having been built within the last ten to twenty years and kept feeling reasonably fresh with upgrades and refurbishments.
Opening times and pricing are in line with what you would expect, i.e. 7 days a week but closing earlier on the weekends. In terms of facilities, all the larger leisure centres have a pool, gym and cafe, with some having outdoor facilities such as the running track at Carn Brea.
These sports centres make a great family option for rainy days, but this means it can become very busy when the weather turns bad during the holidays.
