Places to stay in Cornwall

Welcome to the Cornwall Guide's Where to Stay section. Here you will find listings and detailed information on all types of accommodation in Cornwall ranging from camping by the beach right through to luxury hotels.

As one of the most popular tourist destination in the UK, there is no shortage of quality accommodation to be found in Cornwall. To help you plan your perfect holiday in Cornwall we have arranged our listings to be both comprehensive and easy to use.

Whilst all of Cornwall benefits from a mild climate and more beaches than you can shake a stick at certain towns and villages have their own charms and with that accommodation to match. Cottages in Cornish fishing villages such as Mousehole, Polperro, Mevagissey, Boscastle and Port Isaac sit alongside boutique hotels and upmarket B&Bs.

Surf city Newquay on the other hand is bursting with budget hostels and backpackers plus bigger hotels and mid range guest houses.

For the more discerning visitor there is luxury accommodation a plenty in the resorts of Rock, Fowey and Padstow. And in West Cornwall, St Ives and the Isles of Scilly offer some fine places to rent.

With huge expanses of sandy beaches seaside towns such as Bude, Perranporth and Hayle are great spots for family holidays. The range of campsites and value self catering accommodation reflect this.

Much of North Cornwall has a remoteness not seen in other parts of the county. A wild and rugged coast meets the bleak beauty of Bodmin Moor. Amongst this wilderness you will find some charming villages and stunning, wide sandy beaches.

This sheltered stretch of coast was once referred to as the Cornish Riviera. It includes the popular beaches of St Austell and a plethora of charming fishing villages. At the eastern end, beyond Looe, is the Rame Peninsula - the forgotten corner of Cornwall.

Mid Cornwall

Home to some of the great gardens of Cornwall, this region includes the bustling harbour town of Falmouth, Cornwall's only city and the beatiful rolling countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. More sheltered and less rugged, this part of Cornwall is no less beautiful.
