West Brae House is a beautiful Victorian townhouse, built in 1897 and standing proudly on the hill looking out over the town of Wadebridge and across the stunning countryside of North Cornwall. We offer a very warm welcome, helpful local knowledge, extremely comfortable bedrooms and of course fabulous breakfasts!
We have two lovely double rooms, one with a super-king size bed and the other a standard double. Both have lovely views over the town and beautiful countryside. We can offer an extra temporary bed to accommodate a young child (under 5) in the parents room if required. The rooms are not en-suite but the bathroom is very close to both rooms, spacious and always extremely clean. It has a bath and walk-in power shower and we provide complimentary bath products.
Our house is situated next to the main road into Wadebridge from the West, so we are easy to find. We have off road parking and storage for bikes if required. It is a very convenient 5 minute walk into town for shopping, a nice relaxing coffee in one of the many quirky independent cafes, or a meal in one of a range of excellent restaurants and bars. You may fancy a trip to the cinema (yes, we have a lovely little cinema in town!) or you can go for a walk or cycle along the famous Camel Trail cycle route.
Tamsin & Richard, your hosts, are both local to the area having been born in Port Isaac, so we can offer great local knowledge and advice if required. We love our county and enjoy sharing our knowledge of all the wonderful places to visit with our guests!
We have a resident cat called Tiggy and a young black Labrador called Jet. They are both very well behaved but if you're not animal people then we aren't for you I'm afraid.
In the summer we offer airy rooms, breakfast outside taking in the fabulous views (when it's warm enough!), an easy stroll into town for an alfresco drink before dinner and easy access to all the brilliant beaches the area has to offer. In winter we are warm and cosy, with a roaring log fire in the lounge for you to relax by in the evenings after a day walking or playing golf. We can also provide a simple evening meal if given ample notice and some money!
?We have no aspirations to be seen as a hotel, we simply offer a high standard of accommodation and a very warm welcome in our family home to people who, like us, prefer the personal touch of a small bed and breakfast to the generic hotel experience.
We are non smoking throughout the house and garden.
