In a highly desirable location on the Helford River and just outside the quiet village of Mawgan, is Rock Cottage. This well-appointed property has in excess of an acre of private terraced grounds and 150 metres of unspoilt water frontage as well as its own woodland. A rowing dinghy is provided in the rent for guests to explore the peaceful and oak wooded Mawgan Creek. The view is exceptional and the atmosphere just incredible.
This family owned traditional Cornish cottage has full CH by radiators throughout, sleeps a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children in 3 bedrooms, and is ideal for any time of year. There are wonderful views from all rooms. The tidal scene is ever-changing and as the water ebbs, Curlews, Oyster Catchers, Egrets and others appear on the mudflats to feed. Kingfishers dart across the water. Our guests come for many reasons: to watch the wildlife, fish from either the jetty or boat, potter around on the creek, walk, paint, visit national gardens, beaches & coves or just relax.
Rental is inclusive of CH Oil, Electricity, Bed Linen, Towels, Bathrobes, Wireless Broadband, Cleaning Service for 2 week stays, all Household essentials are in place, and unlimited use of our Rowing Dinghy (available from April to end of October). No extra charges! Pub with restaurant, Church and well-stocked Spar shop in Mawgan Village are 10 minutes walk away also Gear Pasty Company with small farm shop.
