Looking back to the narrow cove and beach at Porthgwarra.

This, as yet, unspoiled little cove is situated right on the western corner of Cornwall's south coast. It's not far to Land's End from here, although the cove is in a surprisingly sheltered little nook.

The same can't be said of the waters off the coast here; the currents are fierce as the tides change and water floods in and out of the English Channel over the Runnelstone reef.

Porthgwarra has most recently come to the world's attention as a location in the 2015 remake of Winston Graham's Poldark series.
