This diminutive little building sat at the end of Smeaton's Pier in St Ives is St Leonard's Chapel.

The chapel predates the present pier by several centuries and was originally where the fishermen of St Ives would say their prayers before setting out to sea. On their successful return it is said they would give a proportion of their catch to the chaplain.
