Lower Penhallow Farm Cottages - Truro
Lower Penhallow Farm lies on the Roseland Peninsula, just a mile from Pendower Beach on the south west coast of Cornwall. It is a working farm of 72 acres in rolling countryside, with green fields and lush hedgerows round about it.
The four star self catering accommodation consists of two adjoining cottages and gardens, which offer the visitor a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Each cottage is well equipped and offers free wireless broadband internet access and a woodburning stove which also appeals to couples and families looking for a cosy winter break on the Roseland Peninsula.
The farm and self catering accomodation are centrally located making it a convenient base for exploring the Roseland Peninsula and other parts of Cornwall and it’s attractions including its many beautiful castles, gardens and the world famous Eden Project.The idylic Roseland Peninsula is an excellent location for a peaceful holiday in Cornwall. There are miles of superb sandy beaches with Pendower being our nearest and Porthcurnick Cove where you can enjoy the fabulous hidden hut as featured on Caroline Quentin’s TV show. The picturesque harbour village of St Mawes and the famous waterside St Just in Roseland church with its sub- tropical gardens are just a short distance away.
The Carrick Roads and river Fal which host some of the finest sailing waters in Britain are easily accessed from the farm providing visitors with watersports activities and fishing. The area has superb coastal and inland footpaths for walkers which provide an ideal opportunity for birdwatching and to observe our abundant and varied wildlife, tucked away from visitor hotspots elsewhere.
Lower Penhallow Farm is owned and run by John and Vicky Whittaker and their two children Sam & Thomas. They keep Ruby Devon cattle, Shetland Ponies, chickens and ducks. Home-grown produce is sometimes available for sale to guests. Fresh fish is delivered to the farm every Tuesday and can be bought locally throughout the week.

Directions
If arriving by car, head for A390 St. Austell to Truro road, near Probus. Take the A3078 signposted to Tregony and St. Mawes. Continue on this past Tregony to Ruanhighlanes. Approximately one mile beyond Ruanhighlanes, turn right immediately after the double bend (signposted to Treworlas and Treworthal). After approximately 800m, turn right again at our white signpost “Lower Penhallow Farm”.
There are also frequent and inexpensive connections to Newquay from Stansted by Ryanair, from Durham and Manchester with bmibaby, and from Gatwick, Manchester, Leeds/Bradford, Cardiff (from April 06) and Dublin by Air Southwest.
