Westmount is very centrally situated within Cornwall to easily access a range of attractions and activities. 10 minute walk / 2 minute drive to beach and lovely coastal walks. Perranporth has miles of golden sands and is good for surfing and sunbathing. There is a bar on the beach called the Watering Hole which serves good food and is excellent for all the family. A lifeguard service is on hand during the main season. Perranporth has full range of shops, bars, restaurants, bank (Lloyds in high street, Natwest - travelling bank) including a new local Co-Op Supermarket. Truro has larger supermarkets (Sainsburys and Tescos) and a great range of shops, restaurants and bars. At Watergate Bay, a surfing beach, you will find a café/bar and Jamie Oliver’s ‘Fifteen Cornwall’ restaurant (booking recommended). The famous Fistral surfing beach is only a short distance away and the National Trust’s Chapel Porth Beach is only a couple of miles away with an excellent cafe.
