Yellow Horned Poppy

Yellow horned poppy plants growing on the shore at Beady Pool beach on St Agnes in the Scilly Isles. The plant grows on the seashore and is never found inland. I've never seen it anywhere else in Cornwall so am not sure if it is restricted to this stretch of coast on the very edge of Britain.

The yellow horned poppy plant (Glaucium flavum) is also reputed to be an hallucinogenic containing Glaucine.
