Wheal Prosper Mine - Rinsey

The Wheal Prosper engine house is dramatically situated on the cliff tops over-looking Rinsey Cove between Porthleven and Praa Sands. This wonderfully preserved engine house was home to a 30 inch pump when it was working. Despite being called Wheal Prosper, the mine here was somewhat of a financial failure. Intended to mine copper and tin from the Porthcew Lode it only ran for six years.
