Looking up Virgin Street in St Ives at some point in the 1930s/40s at a guess. This typical Down-a-long street is just off Fore Street in the town centre but leads nowhere so has pretty much remained the same over the years. Not a lot has changed between the two; less cats and someone has repainted the drainpipe, but that's about it. Perhaps the biggest difference today would be the wheelie bins.
