South Quay - Hayle

South Quay in Hayle still retains a bit of the old industrial feel that is part of the town's heritage. This is the foundry end of Hayle where produce from the local tin and copper mines were cast and shipped off around the world. It's hard to imagine the significance of Hayle 200 years ago in industrial terms.

These days there is a small fishing fleet and the major industry is Philps pasties which you can just see the back of, overlooking the harbour!
