Roughtor Pony - Bodmin Moor

One of the thousand or so ponies that graze Bodmin Moor. This one was up near Roughtor, which you can see in the background.

The ponies are regarded as semi-feral but are actually owned by local farmers who have grazing rights to the moor. There have been several cases of neglect over the last few years with ponies being left to fend for themselves through the winter. This one looked fairly happy and healthy though - and completely disinterested in me!
