The wooden steps down to Porthcressa beach on the island of St Mary's on the Scillies. To the rear of the beach is a short promenade and behind the islands' main town - Hugh Town.
Despite this the idyllic beach remains relatively quiet even in the middle of the summer holidays, which is when this photo was taken.
