The Noughts and Crosses Inn is situated in the heart of Polperro on Lansallos Street. These days it is a bar / bistro / pub but the building itself was originally a bakery.

Dating back to the early 17th century the inn is a grade II listed building.

The name is derived from when the premises were a bakehouse. It is said that the owner kept her accounts by means of noughts and crosses to keep a tab of who had paid for bread.
