The 13th Century Church of St Mawnan and St Stephen in Mawnan. The church occupies a prime position overlooking the mouth of the Helford River. Saint Maunanus was a little known Breton monk who was thought to have landed here in the early 6th century. The site itself predates this with the remains of an ancient earthwork surrounding the churchyard.
