Mary Barrow and Lizzie R Wilce Beached at St Ives

The schooners Mary Barrow and Lizzie R Wilce beached on Porthminster Beach in St Ives during January storms of 1908.

Both ships were carrying coal from Swansea. The Mary Barrow was soon returned to service and served for another 20 years before sinking off the Isle of Man
