Fowey Church

Fowey Church

St Fimbarrus Church in Fowey was built in the mid 15th century after the original Norman church was destroyed by a French raid.

The church is named after St Finn Barr, the Bishop of Cork who is said to have passed through the town en route to Rome.

The church tower dates back to 1460 and is the second tallest in Cornwall. Other features of interest are a carved rood screen and a barrel vaulted ceiling.
