The view out over Chapel Porth beach towards low tide.

Situated between Porthtowan and St Agnes, the coast around Chapel Porth is some of the most spectacular and iconic in Cornwall. Now owned by the National Trust and a favourite spot for surfers this was once part of Cornwall's industrial heartland. The area is littered with old mine workings but none are as instantly recognisable as the Wheal Coates engine house which clings to the cliff side above Chapel Porth.
