Castle Vean - St Agnes, Isles of Scilly

This headland on the western side of St Agnes on the Scillies is called Castle Vean I believe. I like the way it sort of extends into the sea in 3 decreasing sized outcrops.

On a calm summer day like this it is hard to imagine that shipwrecks in this bay were not unknown. Several ships, most notably HMS Firebrand in 1707, have gone down close to here.
