Botallack Cliffs Glimpse

Botallack Cliffs Glimpse

Peeping through the granite blocks that form the walls of the uppermost of the Crowns engine houses at Botallack. These iconic engine houses are located halfway down the imposing cliffs within reach of the spray from the Atlantic Ocean below.

The buildings on top of the cliffs are the chimney stack from the arsenic works along with the remains of the calciner.

From here, in the opposite direction, was once a sloping elevator that lead into a hole in the rocks and over a thousand feet beyond down the Boscawen shaft.
