Boscastle village

Boscastle village

A view up the main road in the North Cornwall village of Boscastle. The 3 storey Georgian buildings reflect the prosperity the town had in these days when it was an important port.

Note that the buildings are made of slate and not granite here as is common in most of Cornwall.

Its hard to imagine the scene here in 2004 when this was a raging torrent of flood water carrying cars and trees with it.
