To the left is the Abbey Hotel and this presumably has something to do with the site of an old abbey although I can't find mention of it anywhere. The hotel and the apartments across the road are both owned by the famous 60s model, Jean Shrimpton.
At the bottom of the hill is Ross Bridge, named after a former mayor of Penzance.
