I’ve been coming to St Ives for 50 years so I’m slightly biased but it is a beautiful place with 5 beaches. Numerous good places to eat. Lovely little shops with different crafty bits in. Mostly flat when you are in the town area. Good location for exploring more of Cornwall if needed but plenty to see and do in St Ives.

I visited on the New Year holiday which was marvelous except for the weather. A force 8 gale with 15ft seas was recorded. Nevertheless a good time was had. The whole town went bat sh*t bonkers on New Years Eve by dressing up outrageously. The whole event concluded with a magnificent firework display.
Visitors lodged in the Old Town need to be nimble as do those going to No 85, which has narrow and awkward stair access to bedrooms.
Frail or people with compromised walking really ought to swerve this St Ives. The streets are steep, one car wide (although two way) and very narrow.
Try “One Fish Street” for a delicious, although expensive dinner. I’m a chef and I ‘rate’ this restaurant.

St Ives is just lovely, one of my favourite places in the UK. Very friendly with plenty of shops and places to eat. Beaches superb. Are at The Captains Table, part of The Sloop Onn and I must say the food was delicious and the service impeccable!

St Ives is a beautiful tourist trap in the southwest county of Cornwall. I've visited the town on many occasions at different times of the year. Its beauty (no matter the weather) never ceases to amaze. From the beautiful harbour and bays to the dramatic coastline; it's a jewel.

This is my happy place so I’m biased.
This is my happy place so I’m biased. Lovely beaches, shops and wide range of places to stay and eat. Parking can be difficult in the summer months but there is a good bus service from the large car park at the leisure centre. Highly recommended
My mum & I had the best 4 nights at Pedn Olva! The location is absolutely perfect, the hotel has the most amazing views from all angles and is well positioned between the town and all the beaches so you'll never have to walk too far. The pool and sunlounger area is great - there is also a lovely terrace with plenty of space - we felt like we were abroad! Our bed was one of the comfiest I've ever slept in and the breakfasts we had every morning were delicious. We would definitely return!!
The location is absolutely stunning and the hotel and spa is 5*
The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
They went above and beyond to make our stay feel special.
We had a gluten free breakfast hamper delivered to our cabin.
The hotel deck is the perfect place for a cocktail and so is the Ugly Butterfly restaurant and bar.
Carbis Bay train station is a short walk and for £1 you can see more of the beautiful coastline as you ride along into St. Ives.
The hotel location is excellent with the fantastic sea view. I stayed in a single room for one day. I arrived at night and in the morning was surprised by the view. It was a brand-new room. Hotel also has a good breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I didn't stay a long time but I have been in many hotels and this one is one of the best.

This hotel is an oasis of luxury in the central St Ives - we had contact from Razzie the owner pre arrival checking if he could help and then met us pre registration . He was unbelievably caring helpful and professional and enhanced our visit . It makes for an unforgettable holiday experience and will recommend Host to family and friends .

We when checked out, we were kindly offered towels to take to the beach & also allowed to leave our car in the carpark. We thought that this was above & beyond and Anne on reception that morning was exceptional! We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and the beach was amazing.
Very friendly staff, made us feel at home. Youth lead, not your typical classical formal hotel staff. Very modern in how it’s run. Very very clean. Great breakfast. Literally a minute away from the beach, we could hear the waves at night. Beautiful design and rooms very spacious
We absolutely loved our stay in this boutique hotel. The decor was beautifully stripped back, lots of white and naturals which were very well done. The views of the harbour were just stunning, it was impossible not to keep taking pictures.
The owners were also so welcoming.
The view from our room was beautiful of the bay. The room was spacious and the wifi strong enough to do most of our work from when needed. The breakfast has many good options and was hot (eggs, rashers, taties) or cold (pastrirs, cereals, yogurt bar).
the location was perfect - a slight view of the ocean from our room and a short walk to the beach, to the heart of St. Ives, and the train station.
the staff was very kind and professional, and the breakfasts each morning were delicious.
The family room was a large, spacious room, very nicely arranged. There was a very good choice for breakfast and the dining room was lovely, looking out on to the garden. The hosts were friendly.
The well designed, clean rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choices. the staff was friendly and very helpful. Able to walk to most everything as hotel was central.
The house was less than a mile from Tate St. Ives, Joby was so helpful in helping us find the location (our gps was wrong), gave us great recommendations, and it was well worth the money!
The hotel was in the most perfect location. Close to the town beaches and for us the railway station. Our room had a fabulous view of the bay and beach. Couldn't fault anything really.
