Nicki’s place is located in Carn Brea, England, United Kingdom. Believed to have once served as a Railway Station House circa 1843. Carn Brea was the home of West Cornwall Railway's workshops where they maintained the locomotives and rolling stock, the line closed several times, eventually becoming redundant in 1961. Carn Brea is also the home to landmarks such as Carn Brea Castle originally built as a chapel in 1379 and the 90ft high monument inscribed 'The County of Cornwall to the memory of Francis Lord de Dunstanville and Basset A.D 1836', Cup and Saucer Rock, Smugglers Cave and Saint Euny's Well can also be found close by. If you like to walk, cycle or ride we have access within minutes to many of Cornwall's most treasured cycle routes, bridal way's and Mining trails. In fact we are a 3 mile cycle along The Great Flat Load straight to Portreath beach with access to the Coast to Coast trail which stretches 11 miles from north to south coast. The historic Carn Brea Castle is home to wonderful three tiered restaurant with amazing rooftop views as far as the eye can see, perfect for a summers evening or a romantic winter supper.

There are two train stations within a two mile walk or five minute drive either side of us in the historic mining towns of Camborne and Redruth, both with easy access to branch lines which will take you to Falmouth or St.Ives or direct routes to Truro or Penzance. We have on our doorstep direct access to the ever popular cycling, walking and public bridal-ways in and around the North Coast. The free World Heritage Site at Heartlands is also a five minute walk away from the property.
