THE COTTAGE Harvon Lee is a stone built cottage, situated in the historic village of Paul. The village overlooks the pretty coastal town of Mousehole with its famed harbour, quaint fishermans cottages, narrow streets, and warm cosy pubs. The stone cottage although old, has had a number of upgrades, which means you definitely won't be roughing it! A large lounge with sumptuous sofas, a log fire, underfloor heating, tv, and free Wifi, The dining area has seating for 6 and this leads through to a well equipped kitchen, there is also a boot room with a toilet, washing machine, and tumble dryer. french doors leading out to the courtyard seating area. Upstairs there are 3 ensuite bedrooms, 1 with a kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom, 1 with kingsize bed and ensuite shower room, and 1 with 2 single beds and ensuite shower room.
The Cottage and the future We bought Harvon Lee as a investment for our retirement, with the intention that one day it will become our home. We are not currently living in the region but have family roots in Cornwall, and try to stay in the cottage when possible. The cottage was purchased in February 2019, and we managed to get it ready for our holiday guests by the May, since then we have received positive feedback and have taken onboard suggestions that our guests have made, some of these suggestions have now been carried out making the cottage more comfortable and practical. We really want our guests to enjoy the cottage, and for those wishing to stay again. We do promise that the cottage will improve with the years, and not become a tired old holiday let as so many often do.
Region: Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations. Village: The cottage is only a 10 minute walk from Mousehole. A delightful fishing village nestled on a hillside and spilling down to the shore. The picturesque harbour, surrounded by its maze of winding narrow streets, draws visitors from miles around, while in the distance St Michael's Mount stands proudly in the centre of Mounts Bay. Although only a short stroll down to the harbour it is a steep hill coming back and could be a challenge for the unfit or infirm. The nearest convenience stores are in Mousehole, but they only supply basic essentials, this could be a round trip of over 30 minutes when walking, a 10 minute drive will take you to all of the well known supermarkets in Penzance, or you could take a free bus ride and back to Tesco in Penzance.
