Edens Horizon cottage annexe is a lovely family-friendly comfortable self-contained property 2 bedroom 2 bathroom property, located on a hillside overlooking St Austell and the fields beyond. It is 18 minutes walk to St Austell town centre and 2.4 Kms from the nearest beach. 1 King with ensuite bathroom and 1 twin with family bathroom opposite, all with divan beds and bedding +bath sheets and beach towels, The well equipped kitchen diner has a washing machine and dishwasher oven crockery saucepans etc. cutlery and a microwave. There is Sky Q and Wifi a Smart TV and DVD player in a seating area, with direct access to a terrace to the exclusive use of the garden. A kitchen starter pack and tea coffee + goodies are provided on arrival. There is an outside decking area and a brick built BBQ for your use. We don't accept dogs and we have parking. A hairdryer, mini shampoos and hand towels plus tea towels oven glove are provided and a travel cot and high chair are provided if requested free of charge.
Edens Horizon a lovely family-friendly house is located on a hillside overlooking St Austell and the fields beyond. It is 18 minutes walk from the town centre and 2.4 Kms from the nearest beach. Edens Horizon was built by Kate's grandfather in 1951 and been renovated recently and extended in 2010 by Kate a nurse and her husband Robert a doctor into a lovely family home. There are 6 bedrooms 3 King and 3 twin all with divan beds and bedding +bath sheets and beach towels, 2 sitting rooms with Sky Q and a large 29ft dining room, 2 adjacent very well equipped kitchens a study area and 2 family bathrooms plus an ensuite shower toilet and basin plus a downstairs toilet and basin. A kitchen starter pack and goodies are provided on arrival. The garden designed by Kate's parents continues to be beautifully colourful with a 65 year old Magnolia, Azaleas and Rhododendruns as well as Palms and lawned areas. We have an outside decking area and a brick built BBQ for your use. We don't accept dogs and we have parking. I love hosting guests at Edens Horizon, the home where I grew up, and always excited to discover more and share Cornwall.
St Austell used to be the centre for China Clay production. The legacy is seen in the Wheal Martyn museum and the Clay trails and cycle tracks that criss cross the area. One of the huge areas of excavation has been used to house the world famous Eden Project. Charlestown Harbour (of filming fame) and the 11 beaches in St Austell Bay are popular with families. St Austell Town centre is 18 minutes walk or a short bus ride from Edens Horizon (every 25 minutes) where there is a multiscreen cinema markets shops bowling alley and a selection of pubs and restaurants. Further afield, Charlestown (2.4kms) has a Shipwreck museum as well as shops and restaurants. Wandering around the harbour side is free and always good with a local ice cream. The Lost Gardens of Heligan on the way to Mevagissey is also very popular. The gardens and child friendly jungle were lost when the men of the Heligan Estate didn't return from the trenches in WW1. I recommend canoeing on the River Fowey, good pub at Golant with outdoor area and walking to Golitha Falls in Luxulyan a magical mossy Glen in the middle of the woods.
