This single-storey lodge consists of an open-plan living space with a kitchen area with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dining seating for four and a sitting area with TV and woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of a king-size with TV and en-suite and a twin bedroom with TV, along with a bathroom. Outside, there is a decked area with furniture and off-road parking for one car. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Two well-behaved pets’ welcome. Apologies, no smoking. For your convenience there is a pub and shop within 0.5 miles and a beach within 2.6 miles. Darcy's Den makes a wonderful escape to the countryside of Cornwall.

Goonhavern is a small Cornish village just 2.5 miles inland from Perranporth, the setting for Winston Graham's Poldark novels. Goonhavern has an inn, village shop, garden centre, and playground. The community, once known for its tin, still has abandoned pump houses, mine shafts, and workers' cottages. Perranporth has a three-mile-long sandy beach and craggy rocks for rock pooling. In summer, the beach is lifeguarded and hosts the British National Surfing Championships. Perranporth has a small selection of shops, restaurants, and pubs, including The Watering Hole, a beachfront pub with live entertainment, good food, and a stunning sunset view. Blue Hills Museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are both worth visiting to learn about the area's heritage.
