This cottage was an old miners cottage. It is a granite terraced cottage and has a lovely safe enclosed garden both at the front and the back. The back has beautiful rural views and is sunny for most of the day. The sun rises at the rear and gives the cottage its name.. Boragweyth..which means morning twilight in Cornish. This is a family holiday home so we have decorated it as a home from home. It is cosy in winter and a sheltered retreat in Summer. It is located in Pendeen on the edge of the village. The village pubs shop and Tapas restaurant are all within walking distance as is the beach at Portheras Cove.
I am a mother of 4 now grown up children who have enjoyed holidays in Cornwall. I have found that I now have more time on my our hands and get enormous pleasure from making sure that guests get the most from their time away from home.
West Penwith is an amazing area. We are surrounded by sea. The South West Coast path is dotted with beautiful coves and the ruins if the engine houses reminding us of its industrial mining past. St Ives and Newlyn are short drives away and host a wealth or art studios and galleries as well as restaurants and museums. Penzance is nearby and is a beautiful town and working harbour. Surfing is excellent at many beaches nearby. Short drives to Sennen, Praa sands, St Ives and many more. Windsurfing at Long rock and Hayle. Birdwatching is superb locally particularly from late July to September but year round at nearby Hayle Estuary and Marazion Marshes. Every hilltop is crowned with an ancient settlement and standing stones abound. Bird watching is a keen pursuit of many as migrating birds visit this area en route. Hiking and cycling are excellent on the coast path for the former and on the beautiful coastal roads for the latter. Simply something for everyone.
