These converted barns are in the middle of the Cornish countryside but just minutes from the beautiful beaches of Rock, Polzeath and Daymer Bay. Cow and Calf Cottages sit in a row of barn conversions surrounded by spacious lawns, fields and woodland. The lawns are perfect for games with the kids!Close to the beautiful North Cornish coast with all its stunning beaches, pretty secluded coves, dramatic cliffs and the Cornish coastal path. Port Isaac is home to the Doc Martin TV series and the Fisherman’s Friends, a local sea shanty group that perform on the quay on Friday evenings for all to join in. It is a quaint and pretty little fishing village with excellent independent shops and pubs with great local ales and food. Nathan Outlaw, a Michelin starred chef has two restaurants here for that special family meal or celebration. Polzeath is a pretty little village with its perfect surfing beach. You can hire surf boards and book lessons if you fancy learning this ever popular and thrilling activity. Then why not enjoy a sundowner on one of the sundecks at the end of the day?Padstow, the centre of Rick Stein’s ’foodie empire’ is close by and can be easily accessed via the foot passenger ferry which runs all day from nearby Rock. Daymer Bay, a stunning crescent of golden sand at the mouth of the Camel Estuary, is also nearby. Sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding are all popular here and a great way to explore the river estuary. The inland town of Wadebridge sits approximately 4 miles from the cottage and is a busy little market town that spans the River Camel. From here you can hire a bike and cycle along the off road trail either to Bodmin inland through a wooded valley, or towards Padstow for fish and chips on the quayside (watch out for the seagulls, they love the chips)!There are numerous spas close by offering various treatments for that essential pampering experience. Golf at St Enedoc, The Point and Trevose are all easily reached and these superb courses provide an excellent round of golf right next to the stunning coastline. Horse riding, shopping, a vineyard and a cinema are all within easy reach of this great location making it the perfect choice. With so much to see and do you’re sure to return! Beach 2½ miles.
