Efflins is a traditional Cornish farmhouse, built in the Grand style typical of larger successful farms at the turn of the 19th century. The master suite and lounge are large, with high ceilings and dual aspect windows, with marvellous views that can be enjoyed from the Italian Florentine style dinning table, which seats 6 comfortably or in the master suite from your super comfortable sleigh bed. The Lounge has an extensive library and a comfortable leather sofa and armchair, the whole ground floor is large flagstones of Cornish slate and the lounge is lit by chandelier.
Because we only host single parties you have exclusive use of a large double family room with sleigh bed, fridge and double sofa and a twin bedroom. The rooms sleep two adults and two young children, we can supply cots, baby bedding and z-beds. The family room has stunning double aspect views of the countryside as far as the moors. ?We really spoil you at Efflins with our bathroom facilities, you have a choice between our spacious Jacuzzi bathroom with views to the sea and a separate shower room also with toilet, giving any family ample choice.
Five minutes from a spectacular coastal path, Efflins enjoys three lovely local beaches and the famous Bedruthan Steps. Not far is Jamie Olivers 15 at Watergate Bay and Rick Steins at Padstow.
Bedruthan Steps which we think of as our beach usually takes a day to see properly depending on the tides, it's great for its sandy beaches and rock pools. In fact you can leave the car at Efflins (we have ample parking) for your entire stay as our coastline holds ample attractions for young and old alike.
With fantastic views of North Cornwall, Efflins is also near to famous locations familiar from TV shows and literature, such as Poldark and the romantic tales written by Rosamunde Pilcher.
