The building was the local school from about 1890 until 1984, and for a while afterwards became a costume hire business. In 2000 it was converted in holiday accommodation and has been refurbished regularly since. It is a unique and imposing building, standing alone and surrounded by fields. Many of the local people went to school here and we've even had a few from far overseas return to take a look at the old school.
