This lovely complex of seven holiday properties is set in 17 acres of beautiful countryside along the idyllic River Fowey in the Glynn valley. For people looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday in the Cornwall countryside, Rivermead with its picturesque lake and riverside setting, really is the perfect location for family holidays and lovely romantic breaks.\n\nWith different property styles and sizes on-site, there should be something here to suit all. The large barn is split into four lovely apartment style houses. There are two cosy one bedroomed apartments, perfect for couples, and the other two having two bedrooms, great for mum dad and two children. The fantastic lodges Owl and Otter have three bedrooms, sleeping six each, whilst the delightful Farm Cottage caters for eight.\n\nOne of the main features at Rivermead Farm is the fantastic river fishing available on site with ½ mile of river bank and 2-acre lake (no fishing) available exclusively to guests. The River Fowey has the best late autumn salmon fishing in England, remaining open until 15th December. Both the salmon and the sea trout thrive in the pure upland waters flowing from Bodmin Moor. The renowned kingfisher pool is one of the best fishing locations on the entire river. For those who are not interested in fishing, Rivermead Farm is still a superb place for a holiday for people of all ages with so much to see and places to explore on your doorstep.\n\nLocated in a great spot practically midway between the south and north coasts, just off the A38 and only 6 miles off the A30 at Bodmin, making exploring Cornwall really accessible. Close by is Cardinham Woods, most well-known for superb cycling trails to suit all abilities, woodland walks and a lovely café. The fantastic Bodmin Moors with Siblyback Lake Activity Centre, the place to go for sailing, paddle boarding, walking and birdwatching. The wonderful National Trust house at Lanhydrock is just a 10-minute drive, as is the main town of Bodmin with its historic, yet slightly creepy jail, and heritage steam railway. Beach 12 miles. Shop 1.5 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile. Properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 32 guests.
