Hostels are synonymous with the YHA (Youth Hostel Association) and this is very true of Cornwall. The majority of what we rate as the best hostels in Cornwall are run by the YHA and many feature incredible coastal locations and historic character buildings. The "youth" part of hostel is largely historic from my experience and the clientele is a pretty mixed bag these days. Combined with a laid back atmosphere, most hostels offer family rooms and camping/glamping options are increasingly common.
Offering such great value for money, hostels in Cornwall tend to book up months in advance. You may be lucky enough to rock up and grab a dorm bed out of season, but you'll need to plan ahead for summer stays.
