Our lodge is within easy reach of beautiful surfing and sandy beaches and coves, stunning scenery and many attractions. It is a great base for exploring both Cornwall and Devon, and combines traditional charm with modern convenience for a high standard of self-catering.
There is a bright and airy open plan, living, dining and kitchen area, and it sleeps 6 (plus an infant in a travel cot) in 3 bedrooms. On the first floor is a master bedroom with double bed, a twin bedroom with two single beds, and a family bathroom with a fitted shower over the bath with a screen.
Parking is available for 1/2 cars at the side of the lodge and other parking is virtually always available nearby. The riverside garden, with views across the meadow to the other side, has a Cornish slate BBQ and a large wooden table (with parasol) and seating for 6/8. There is plenty of room for children to play while you BBQ and relax with a glass or two of wine, or enjoy wonderfully relaxing evenings. The garden is surrounded by a low picket fence and children will need to be supervised because of the close proximity of the river. there is a communal tennis court for your use, which is available on a "first come first served" basis. A selection of tennis balls and racquets are provided, together with an assortment of beach toys for young children.
There are plenty of activities to keep the whole family happy, whether young or old. Within easy reach are beautiful sandy beaches for surfing, and making sandcastles, the North Cornwall coastal path, cycling, golf, fishing, horse riding, water sports, lovely walks, and at the end of the day paying a visit to one of the many pubs and restaurants for good quality food.
Bodmin Moor has just been designated a Dark Sky Reserve. In the clear dark night sky, visitors can see the Milky way and the Andromeda Galaxy millions of years back in time.
