The Edgcumbe is run by a family team made up of brother and sister Charlie & Emma and their partners Becky and Lee and big sister Joanne, who have spent the past 4 years gradually refurbishing. the Edgcumbe is now an unstuffy, informal and stylish 4 star Guest Accommodation, Bar & Bistro with a relaxed feel.
The Edgcumbe is in a superb beachside location with sweeping views over the town, the historic sea lock gates, canal, river Neet and the Atlantic Ocean. All of which are only a stone’s throw away.
We have 11 en suite rooms ranging from small quirky doubles & spacious singles to large doubles & twins with bay windows and sea views. There are also two deluxe rooms with Sea Views; one with an adjoining lounge with a deep squishy corner sofa with bijoux shower en suite and the other has a one of a kind luxurious bathroom including a large walk in shower, twin basins and double ended bath, so no fighting over the tap end!
Our aim was to make our rooms chic and comfortable without being over fussy. Most rooms have the deep sprung king size beds with puffy duvets’ and chic throws. All have flat screen digital free view TV’s with radio, hair dryers and an excellent selection of Organic and Fair trade hospitality & toiletry products, and bottled Cornish spring water on arrival.
Our ground floor is an ideal place to relax and unwind; whether you want cake & a cappucino in our café style bar, a meal in our Bistro or simply enjoy the views with a glass of wine in our glass fronted sun lounge. Our Bistro menu offers a great choice of home-cooked dishes prepared using locally sourced ingredients and produce as much as is possible.
