Beech Cottage, ‘The upside down house’ sleeps from 2-5 guests in three rooms, with the living accommodation on the first floor. Beamed ceilings, log fire. Quiet rural setting, five miles to coast at Crackington Haven. Pet friendly. ETC 4 star.
The quiet country lane from Warbstow to Trengune leads on to our private tree lined drive and the cottages, The Roundhouse, Beech, Ash, Pond Meadow and Little Leighs, all set within the three acre gardens of the 16th century farmhouse, which offers distant views of Dartmoor to the south, with the north Cornish coast at Crackington Haven being five miles away to the north. Each cottage has its own small garden which leads onto two barbeque areas and a small field with our resident pygmy goats to the front of the cottages, a large children’s playing field with swings to the side and a small copse to the rear of the cottages, where dog owners can exercise their pets. Free range chickens wander around the gardens adding to the sense of peace and tranquillity.
The words that appear most often in our visitor books are peace, quiet, relaxed, welcoming, cosy, clean, comfortable and home from home, which hopefully says it all. The cottages are the perfect place to relax and recharge the batteries, but when you are ready to face the outside world again the A39 ‘Atlantic Highway’ is only a few minutes drive from the cottages opening up the whole of North Cornwall, with Crackington Haven, Bude, Boscastle, Tintagel and Bodmin Moor all being within a short drive, making the cottages an excellent touring base. Whether it be leisurely exploring the coast and villages of north Cornwall; hiking, surfing, fishing, playing golf, or simply relaxing in front of a roaring fire, Trenannick Cottages offers you all these possibilities, from two week breaks in August to three night short breaks in the quieter months. ETC 4 star rated.
