About the accommodation
The well-furnished upstairs bedrooms consist of one twin and one double room. The dual aspect large double room has countryside views with beamed ceilings, wood flooring and built in wardrobe. It boasts a king size bed complimented with dresser and bedside tables. The twin room has two single beds a wardrobe, dresser and bedside tables. The room also has a freeview TV and play station console for the children. All bedding and towels are provided at no extra charge.
The large lounge with its beamed ceiling, half timbered panelled walls, stone wall chimney, and fireplace is furnished with two comfortable modern settees and window seat. For your relaxation there is a widescreen freeview TV complimented by a DVD player and films.

The large fully tiled bathroom with beamed ceilings and wood floor comprises a luxury bathroom suite comprising a large roll top freestanding bath with telephone shower, pedestal washbasin, and toilet. The second bathroom with its beamed ceiling and wood floor comprises a shower cubicle, hand washbasin, and toilet.
The dual aspect kitchen with fitted cabinets and tiled floor is extremely well equipped and has a very practical layout. There is a Range Master double oven with ceramic hob, cooker hood, and microwave, built in fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, and Belfast sink. Ample crockery and cutlery are provided.
The lawned rear garden area is enclosed and contains the garden furniture; it is the ideal place to have your BBQ. The front garden is lawned with a pathway leading to the front door. There is private parking for one vehicle on site and private parking for any additional vehicles within 50 metres.
The cottage is fully centrally heated and there are no additional heating or
electricity costs. Bookings are direct with us. There are no third party additional booking fees or added agency commissions. Our visitor book and feedback forms help us to improve our facilities each year but the things that our guest regularly compliment us on are the location, appearance, facilities and the cleanliness of the cottage and our hospitality.
There are a number of places to eat in the village including Indian and traditional restaurants, pubs and cafes and bars. For something, a bit special Rick Steins seafood Restaurant is just 20 miles away and Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen is just 28 miles away with fantastic views over Watergate Bay. In the village, there is also a doctor’s surgery, chemist, post office and cash point facilities. There are a number of shops in the village where you can stock up on the essentials. For larger food, shopping trips there is a Tesco at Wadebridge and Launceston and a Morrisons at Bodmin.
Things to do
Tintagel is well known for it association with King Arthur and the knights of the round table and the castle is worth a visit with spectacular views from the island. The coastline provides fantastic coastal walks with dramatic views. There are some fantastic beaches within easy reach that provide good surfing, fishing, and relaxation. Most marine activities such as wind surfing, boat trips diving can all be found locally. The 14th Century Old Post Office and King Arthurs great Halls are within easy walking distance as is the beautiful St Nectan’s Glen and Rocky Valley. There are horse riding stables close by and within a short drive are the expansive moors of Bodmin made famous by Daphne du Maurier’s novel Jamaica Inn. There are two golf clubs within easy reach. Bowood golf club features an 18-hole par72 course set in 230 acres of rolling hills and woodland. Just 14 miles away is St Enodoc golf course, which has two courses including a championship course. It is one of the finest links courses in the Southwest with some great sea and estuary views. The picturesque harbour of Boscastle is just three miles away and the famous Port Isaac where the Fishermans Friends can be found performing on the quay is just ten miles away. Wadebridge is just 16 miles away and is the place to hire your bike and cycle along the Camel Trial to Padstow. The Eden Project can be reached within an hour; in fact, Tintagel is a great base to explore the county of Cornwall.
